アフリカの生命倫理

アフリカで第１回の全アフリカ生命倫理会議が開催されるようです。アフリカでも生命倫理の制度化が進んでいるようですね。

First Pan African Bioethics Congress, Cotonou, Benin (14-16 April 2008)

The 1st Pan African Bioethics Congress will be held in the Congress Hall of Cotonou in Benin from the 14th to 16th April 2008. The suggested topic for this First Pan African Bioethics Congress is: "Contribution in the construction of an ethical scope and integrated bioethics excellence in Africa within the framework of the Millennium Development Goals".

The Congress will hold for the very first time in Africa, a continental and international Forum of consultation and dialogue in the fundamental field of Bioethics between:

a) Public institutions, including African States, the United Nations Organizations System and partners for the development of Africa;
b) African Experts and the World Bioethics Community; and
c) Organizations of the African and International Civil Society.

The Congress will work on a consensus for the contribution of Bioethics in Africa within the Millennium Development Goals and on the promotion as a whole of the reception and development of International Scientific Research in Africa, with respect to Africans' dignity and Human Rights.

アフリカでの生命倫理なら、ぜひ北側諸国でほぼ議論されていない、戦争、植民地支配、エイズなどの生命問題を大テーマとして生命倫理学を作っていってほしいと思うのだが、どうなのだろう。
